  1. Jayman,

Thanks for posting your DC Special #4 - that's one of my faves of all the DC Horror books!

Here's one of my copies of #4 that I got from Doc Banner (Thanks Doc!) & I love it!

The Super DC Giant #20 is another one I find to be cool, with the 'bookend' appearances by Cain. Took me awhile to find one in a condition I was happy with...

  2. Just wanted to share.

I picked this one up about 12 years ago at the San Diego Comic Con. I had just purchased it for $5, when I left the dealer, turned the corner and almost literally ran into Wrightson. He was having a conversation about the scariest thing he'd ever dealt with: His teenage son. I waited for a moment & then asked if he'd sign it - he was a gentleman & did!

Motor City had 35 cent variants. A lot of them. And BOY were they expensive. They had a Scooby-Doo 1 8.5 and a bunch of others.

What was the price on the Scooby, if you remember...?

D A M N you all to h e l l for pulling me back into the horror game! I thought this particular poison had run its course several years ago, but it's back with a VENGANCE!!!!!!!!

  5. Damn!

I had never really considered Conan #1 as beginning of the Bronze Age, but now, thanks to Theagenes, I feel very compelled to break off the Silver Age right there! And the idea of a split for Marvel and DC feels much more comfortable than choosing just one book to represent everything, as a freakin' lot was going on! Damn! Now I have to go out and pick up Conan #1 again! Thanks for the great pair o' posts, Theagens!!
