  1. Pm me if you want to sell a hg vortex. I need one. I keep meaning to frame the poster with that multipack. I have 2 of those rare packs, 1 from the stands and 1 I found in a box.
  2. Thanks. I'm sure Schmidt will be along any second to blow us away with a Vortex #2 9.8 or a full 9.8 run of Palookaville.
  3. this made me think - not sure if this has been brought up in the past - statute of limitations on PL inclusion? that is, shouldn't rule 2(a) be amended to include a time limit? one month etc as a max? Currently: 2) Notification on the Probation Discussion Thread a) After the 30 Day Rule is fulfilled, the accuser will send a PM to the accused informing them the issue is being submitted to the Probation Discussion Thread for their inclusion in the PL. This should be a new PM and not part of an existing PM chain. Proposed? 2) Notification on the Probation Discussion Thread a) Within one month after the 30 Day Rule is fulfilled, the accuser will send a PM to the accused informing them the issue is being submitted to the Probation Discussion Thread for their inclusion in the PL. This should be a new PM and not part of an existing PM chain. Frankly, that's not really the best proposed language. This would actually dissuade people from working out difficulties, delays and other issues on their own and force their hand to include someone on a PL nomination even if they are in the midst of working out the transaction difficulties on their own and outside the public eye. I don't see any need for such a short time period and I don't believe it serves the equities of transaction completion nor the protection of buyer's rights, which is at the heart of the probation list origins. At the risk of supreme irony, the PL rules have been way over-lawyered. It's kind of ridiculous the hoops required to jump through to nominate someone nowadays.
  4. Where? I see Josh calls it an OO collection, but this is the release: Just a curious way to describe it and not sure it makes a huge difference. Bought off the newsstand or constantly collected/upgraded. Not a lot of difference in terms of the quality of the books, but could work against the mystique of a pedigree notation. Even Church had some books acquired secondhand, but not many. I thought it was an odd description as most pedigree announcement talk about books being bought off the stand and meticulously stored, etc., etc.
  5. Is there anything saying that these are OO books anyway? I thought I was reading it was a collection, which would imply that some (??%) books may have been after acquired/collected.
  6. Sale is Sunday afternoon at 2 CST A good fisherman chums the waters early ... lure the fish in ... they are hungry ... Fish? You must be kidding! More like it's sharks circling Dale's boat, his rod and line and bait ... Books looks good, thread will be crazy. I will be in theatre watching Star Wars at about the same time. Dale's gonna need a bigger boat.
  7. Bumping from obscurity. Is anyone experiencing issues with the Xbox One wireless controllers randomly disconnecting? Mine has started doing it and Google says it appears to be a common problem. On a related note, if you're looking for Battlefield 1, keep your eyes peeled on Amazon. It drops there to $30-35 from time to time but always seems to sell out quickly.
  8. It's not. Taking out the $0.50 cost of the book ($14.50 profit/book), this comes to be ~12 books/hr, or a book every 5 minutes. I didn't get into profit. He said he was flipping $175 worth of $.50 books an hour. Profit would require you to consider Ebay and paypal costs at a minimum, which would increase the number books to be done per hour.
  9. $175 worth of $15 books in an hour? That's 15 books/hour, if my math is right. That's 4 minutes per book. So grading, bagging/boarding, scanning, listing, printing postage, packing (not including time to get to USPS cause I know you get yours picked up) and that's on top of whatever time it took to acquire the books? Wow. That's quick.
  10. Nah. They should've stretched it out until the next season premiere. We could debate for a year about whether Dolores starts shooting or if Maeve boards the train or if William and MIB are the same. Think how that would help with ratings! Insert 36 minutes of commercials per hour and it's the Walking Dead!
  11. And why haven't we ever seen Elsie's body? What would have been the point of Bernard killing her? Wouldn't it make more sense to enlist her in support of Ford? She seemed in support of sentience in the hosts.
  12. Also, just learned there is a post-credits scene. I'll have to go rewatch.
  13. It's unclear. Why have the mother/daughter on the train? Or are we time hopping again? Also, unless we see a body, MIB/Billy isn't dead. He was really shot. There was blood. His smile was a realization that what he'd been looking for (consciousness in the hosts/Dolores; real love/danger from the hosts) was happening.
  14. This is the last spoiler post I'm doing here. Why come into this thread if you haven't watched all the episodes?
  15. Watch the 2nd, 3rd and 4th episode as they repeat endlessly. The loops are part of the narrative and the backdrop. I don't understand people's problem with that literary device. It pays dividends very quickly, IMHO.
  16. As if declining viewership numbers weren't enough, it should be troubling that there is also very little chatter in the CGC threads about the show.
  17. Still haven't watched any episodes after the premiere, but read summaries online. I'm surprised when people are surprised about the formula: Calm ruined by outside force. Group split up. Whole episodes devoted to solo characters or very small groups. [This is purely a budget tactic. Different filming crews cuts down on total shooting days for entire season.] Group coalesces under tense circumstances. Group eliminates threat and march toward calm again. Rinse and repeat.
