  1. I’ve only been once, years ago when it was in Oklahoma City, and I had a great time.
  2. I've had this 1963 Charlton comic for years and then I discovered this 1962 novel.
  3. I had a great time. I enjoyed box/portfolio diving and looking around the exhibit hall but I ended up not buying much. I went to a lot of panels every day. I don't have any pictures.
  4. My first SDCC was the first one, the one-day show at the Grant Hotel in March 1970. I’ve been going every year and I still get excited anticipating it. I don’t buy as much OA as I used to but I still like to gaze at the drool-worthy wall displays and look through the bins and portfolios with the hope of finding something that grabs me at a price I’m willing to pay. The “price I’m willing to pay” component has become a lot more challenging.
  5. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Journey To The Center Of The Earth, and From The Earth To The Moon are my guesses.
  6. E. Gerber sells PB / digest-sized Mylite2’s. I’ve been using them for years.
  7. It’s B&W reprints. I bought it around 1969-1971. I acquired the comics after buying the paperback but I recognized them from the paperback. Fly Man #36, 37, 39, and Mighty Crusaders #7. However, an interesting fact I just discovered: I didn’t have the book in front of me so I looked on the GCD. “The Monster Master” in Fly Man #39 and Mighty Crusaders #7 was actually printed in the book first.
  8. Here is the last part of the run. The numbering continued on into Mighty Comics. I'll also post those since I have them out even though they're not Fly-centric.
  9. In the archived thread someone questioned if a panel such as this one existed. What a reception indeed.
  10. You beat me to it. Here is another Groovy set: The thrashed #3 in the second photo is the one I bought brand new off the stand.
  11. Well, I kind of expected that. I'm off to the quarry to carve out a stone tablet and chisel my next rant on it.
