Slabs, Lots, Magazines, Comics...More? I continue to perform some maintenance on my collection, pulling things I don’t need or books that I’ve upgraded. This first post will include the rules. The second post will provide a summary of what’s for sale and what will be tentatively for sale as I continue to organize my books. The rules below apply globally to all lots, but some lots may have modified rules due to the size or cost of the lot. Those rules will be posted with the lot and take precedence. Rules: US buyers only. Shipping is included in the listed price. PayPal preferred; check and money order ok (payment must clear before shipping). PayPal must be paid with Goods and Services. Check the many pictures attached, this one is wild. Gabby Hayes Tall Tales For Little Folks A Bonnie Jack-In-The-Box Book Copyright 1955, Samuel Lowe Company, Kenosha Wisconsin. Same format as a Little Golden Book, but if you look at the front cover you'll see three round spots. Turns out they are little grommets that go through the cover, acting as hinges for...well, take a look at the pictures. Every page shows Gabby dressed in another outfit, as does the back cover. Great fun, and this copy is sharp. Touch of general wear on the cover, the interior is bone white and untouched. Gabby's hinges are gorgeous, there's one tiny tear on the LH boot, otherwise that's IT. I looked this up on ABE Books, there are only three copies listed, one taped up copy at $30+, and two about the same as this one at $85 and $95 I'm asking $75 -
I've spent some downtime organizing my collection and going through past purchases. I doesn't look like there will be any opportunity to set up at local shows anytime soon, so I am going to go through all my sale items and get them all listed. I'll start with the unsold items from the VCC this past weekend, then go through all my other stuff. My boxes are sorted and priced, so I'll just need to take pictures and get them up. This is a stack of books and magazines I had building up on a dresser..... there will be a few that are more expensive, but most will be from $5 to $30 ..... so this will NOT be my typical sales thread.
