About Me

  1. I'm selling some CGC'd books from my collection - many signed. Below is the complete list. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_ssn=noodles1771&_sop=1 All books sold so far have shipped out within 24hrs of sale and are carefully and attentively packed. All CGC Cases are Mint and literally have not been removed from the return box from CGC aside from the pictures taken for the listings below. They are not being taken to trade shows etc - these are from my personal collection. Feel free to e-mail any questions. Thanks for looking! 4. Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I ran a sale, I decided to ran this one in the Mixed section so it will allow me to list an assortment of pretty much varied material. IMPORTANT: As many of you know, I am based in Italy. Postage costs for Registered are high, so I’ve decided to offer Priority (which has no tracking) as well, but only to people which I already know and with the agreed upon condition that if the packages gets lost we have no means to check it. Both methods have more or less the same transit times: 12-15 days to USA/Americas or less. Please send me a message for postage costs to other locations. Shipping costs are as follows: Registered: 19.00€ up to 350g (1-2 comic books, or the equivalent) 26.00€ up to 1kg. Priority (not trackable): 13.00€ up to 350g (1-2 comic books, or the equivalent) 18.00€ up to 1kg For heavier packages we may consider an Express Courrier which will be cheaper than Poste Italiane. As a general rule, I always try to price fairly but without discounts. Of course I will combine shipping costs and try to have the less expensive options from Italy. You can find my kudos thread here. I try to grade books accurately but I’m no professional grader – mostly the grade listed is the grade I’d be satisfied with if I was the buyer. Rules: The first (icon or text) in thread wins. You can purchase by PM but at your own risk – I will go by time stamp. Payment methods accepted: Paypal, Wise. Please no people on the HoS or Probation list.

  6. Could anyone confirm, is this a newsstand copy of Wonderful Wizard of Oz #1? I've been trying to see if this actually exist or if there are any records of it being an actual copy (CGC do not have this on their census.) Is there anyway to get in contact with CGC if they could designate this as a newsstand/variant edition since I'm thinking of sending this in.

  10. Hi everyone! I’m running a sales thread which will feature some copper and modern Marvel books, some other modern books, a few foreign editions, some criticism magazines (Comics Journal, etc.) and pretty much anything which I will find to diversify. God willing, I would like to run my WW2 period thread (including late 1930s and immediate post-war years), mostly non-USA, in December. In the meantime, a small mixed thread. As a general rule, I always try to price fairly but I will not offer discounts. Of course I will combine shipping costs and try to have the less expensive options from Italy. You can find my kudos thread here. I try to grade books accurately but I’m no professional grader – mostly the grade listed is the grade I’d be satisfied with if I was the buyer. IMPORTANT: I am based in Italy. Postage costs are what they are, so check the table below. Rules: The first (icon or text) in thread wins. You can purchase by PM but at your own risk – I will go by time stamp.

Payment methods accepted: Paypal, TransferWise. In case I already know you, International Bank transfers are fine. Please no people on the HoS or Probation list. Shipping rates: I ship from Italy. Rates indicatively as follows (Zone 1 is Europe and UK, Zone 2 is Americas, Asia and Africa, and Zone 3 Oceania). I am inclined to use Registered, as Airmail does not have a tracking number, but if we’re acquainted and you’re willing to take the risk I can ship via regular Airmail or with a cheaper option which could take more time.
For total amounts of over $300 I will ship to USA through registered courrier for a flat fee of $35. This will be good up to 2kg (approx 4,4 lbs.) Zone1 Zone2 Zone3 Airmail / 1-2 bks: 11.00 16.00 20.50 USD Airmail / up to 8-10 bks: 13.50 21.00 27.00 USD Airmail / up to 16-20 bks: 21.50 34.50 41.00 USD Registered / 1-2 bks: 17.50 22.60 28.80 USD Registered / up to 8-10 bks: 23.50 32.50 43.00 USD Return policy: I generally do not offer returns as it would be impractical cost-wise from here, but in the unfortunate case I missed something drastic (like a cut out page or ad) I will make sure to make you whole. Thanks for looking!

  13. Hi - I'm joining the enlightened folks who sell their CGC comics here rather than eBay, despite the more limited readership. I have to raise my prices too much there or lose money, and their new system of categorization is frustrating, as is their endless tinkering that makes me update "policies" just to select shipping prices appropriate to the item. No more! Because of that, I'll be listing my CGCs here. I will endeavor to provide photos (allow me a couple days to list them here and take them down from eBay). The hardcovers, trades and other stuff is over there still (am I allowed to say you can message me here about those to make a deal?). But most of my CGCs...here! And because they're here, that means, at a minimum, the price is decreased compared to how I priced them on eBay by as little as 10%, give or take, but often 12% or more. I'd like to see long box after long box disappear from my place over the next year before I head overseas again, but hopefully before then. I'll post comics as I receive them and set the asking price. These prices are in U.S. dollars and are the minimum price - please don't ask me to go below that amount as I'm already keeping most at cost just to keep stock flowing out of my home. Over time, I'll work to additionally sell to and ship to Canada - another price (due to international transaction fees) will be given and shipping costs will differ. To claim: 1st private message via CGC (PM) by time stamp wins. To pay: PayPal only, to be arranged by PM. Shipping: I use USPS Priority Mail and signature confirmation, and the total shipping cost will depend on the number purchased and value of the items. Shipping is in addition to asking price - if I sell one for $100, the total is $118 plus insurance If I sell one for $300, total is $323 plus insurance. Breakdown: Shipping: 1 CGC = $18 2 CGC = $18 3 CGC = $22 4 CGC = $22 And so on. Items will be insured at the buyer's expense - please refer to USPS' Priority Mail insurance rates for purchases totaling $50.01 or more (including shipping) - https://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/Notice123.htm#_c191. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping includes insurance for goods up to $50. Once an item is shipped, I will share the tracking number by PM. I want your items to arrive nicely and if for some reason they don't, I want you to get your money back without my having lost it, too, because of some Act of God for which I couldn't mitigate the unforeseen risk. Turnaround: Two business days, unless I'm traveling away from my stock. Then, two business days upon my return. Problems: Should any problems arise, I will troubleshoot those with you. Please keep it to PMs as I will do all in my power and according to these rules as I can to resolve issues. Stolen packages: I use signature confirmation as a deterrent against stolen packages. It is not my responsibility, once USPS Tracking shows "Delivered," if your package was stolen. The only thing I can do from where I sit is provide Signature Confirmation and hope you'll be the one to sign for it. It is incumbent upon you to watch for when your package will arrive, and I strongly encourage you to sign up for Delivery Tracking alerts by SMS and/or email via USPS.com. I've had packages delivered to me stolen, too, and I've had packages I've sold stolen, too. This is my remedy. Feedback: I appreciate, if at all possible, that once a transaction and delivery is successful, you let me know by PM and/or give me a thumbs up or other good nod somewhere in this thread. I'll start a second post here to summarize sales and successes. It helps me with credibility on the Chat Boards and helps you reflect that you're a paying customer. No returns nor refunds.

    Just not Fun anymore.

Well its already the end of March 2021 heading into April. And as things tend to get better... or worse depending who you are. The card world is still back logged worse than it was. More and more people thinking it is a gold mine of money out there. I don't know maybe it is I have not Received the 2nd or 3rd round of stimmy's or received my tax return. Yet out here there are drug addicts running around with thousands of dollars. So as I sweat how I'm gonna pay for my submission, Or even when. Surprise!! charge.. Prices keep going up and turn around times along with it. So now cards that should be paying for other cards are taking longer and now there is no longer a buy market cause now every one and there mothers are all certified Pokémon experts and sellers. That and the fact its sealed product selling for $1000 a booster box when a complete set is selling for $600 if your lucky to find a buyer. cant go to the store and just buy some packs. card shops have raised prices too. so in just 6 months everything fun about the hobby has turned to mess. So I set a goal awhile back to complete a couple binders. and one of those Binders is to complete base set in 4 variations (1st edition) (shadowless) (unlimited) (1999-2000) and now what was once possible now seems to be possible if I win the lottery. Cause 1st edition Charizard last year few grand obtainable. Now what seems half a million for a graded 10 and for a bent fresh out the washer and dryer one for 4k. And to think I'm 48 cards from completing all 4 variations, but thinking of throwing in the towel. Except no one will pay half what the binder is worth prolly. even with about 50 of them so far in cgc slabs. Cause it would be nice to get them all in slabs for protection but that would cost 4K and wouldn't get them back for a year. And to think the other Binder is Jungle 1st edition and unlimited with Fossil 1st and unlimited along with Team Rocket 1st and unlimited. (jungle is complete) (fossil 18 cards left) (team Rocket 40 Cards left) So with little money I have besides trying to keep my son wanting to stay with me cause his moms parents buy him anything and everything pay for it all life must be amazing. 10 people in that house all the time so kid just goes to the next person who is not ready to spank his and send to bed cause yup just me lol. And he is with me about 70 Percent. So with more cards on my hands a 4 year old hating me more each day prices going up for cards Along with turnaround times, a kid to young for school cant afford 1000 month for daycare. Kid will not let me mess Cause Got to be right next to him. Don't get me wrong I enjoy that I get time with him I love it. but I'm losing the fight. And the one thing I use to Enjoy doing Just is not fun anymore. I was able to run to Walmart for some stuff and pick up some packs enjoy looking for cool boxes or discounted items has disappeared. I was at the point where my son and me were sleeving cards together he was almost to point of Enjoying with dad next level, but now he has lost interest. posting on eBay wish I had the time yet I continue to send in cards to get grades to hopefully sell to pay for the cards I need to finish the binders its the only way for someone with little money. so through all the complaining and whining I just did it was a vent cause I don't have any other way place or people to vent to. even if this gets zero reads I feel a little better. but in the end I stare at my stuff with no emotion or care anymore it does not bring enjoyment as it once did. but something has to be done with it all.....
  15. This is going to sound incredibly dumb but does cgc acknowledge cbcs slabs? I want to see if I can upa book I sent to vbcs. Thanks guys!

  17. Looking to Sell: the 6-issue series, Death of Kraven. Amazing Spider-man 293, 294; Spectacular Spider-man 131, 132, and Web of Spider-man 31 and 32. These are in very fine/near mint condition (obviously I am not a grader...see pics). Looking to get $55 for the series plus $8.70 for USPS priority mail (box, not envelope). Paypal is preferred. Let me know if you would like other information. Condition Specifics. Web of Spider-man 32's top staple looks like it may be a bit squashed. The back of Web of Spider-man 31 and Spectacular Spider-man 131 both have a fine fold/bend along the top. Also, 131 has a slight imperfection in the cut of the pages along the bottom corner. ASM 294 top corner is a bit scruffed. Spectacular Spider-man 132 and ASM 293 look just about perfect to me (near mint). thank you ziggy
  18. My collection is all modern age comics from the late 80's to early 2000's. They are all bagged, boarded and in boxes. I have an excel file listing titles, quantity and my cost (most of them were bought direct from Westfield Comics) along with a current Overstreet Price guide value. I'm not really interested in selling any at the moment, but am trying to gauge what a good cut-off value would be to have sent in for grading. I realize that it is subjective for each person, so I'm looking to see what others have done in the same situation. For example I have half a dozen that show of value over $100. Would anyone go lower than that, like down to $50 ? Or how about a run of 3-4 issues together that value out over $100 ? Thanks for taking the time to answer!

  20. Hello all, A few raw WOLVERINE books ending on Sunday! https://www.ebay.com/str/chefkv
  21. Hello CGC, and anyone else who peruses this thread! I'm creating this thread because the label update thread hasn't had a CGC response since 2015, and the changes I'm requesting are quite wide, a simple note within the books when being submitted wouldn't fix this problem for years. This has been on my mind for quite awhile now, and I finally realized that hopefully you guys can fix this. There are many things I collect, but two of the main things are Spawn and Blue Beetle. We all know that most of the early Spawn books were heavily overprinted for the direct market, what most people don't know is that they also printed books for the Newsstand, only ONE percent of what was printed for Direct. This means on a book such as #1, where there was around 1 million printed, there are only around 10,000 Newsstands. Now I know for #1 CGC has started to recognize the difference, however this difference is not only limited to number 1. Newsstands were printed from issue 1 through 112, and then 117-137. The Newsstand counterpart only becomes more rare as the print run decreases, combined with the fact that companies printed less and less newsstands as time went on. For example, Comichron indicates that for issue 137 (the final newsstand) there were 34,735 Direct units, this would mean that there were only around 3400 Newsstands printed IF Image was still printing Newsstands at 1% which they most likely were not. The whole point of this is that the CGC census is incorrectly displaying data unless you separate the two, for a book such as Spawn #98, there is only 9 on the census, so only one of them may be newsstand. That makes a huge difference, and would greatly help collectors like myself if we knew how many newsstands were actually on the census. With all that said, here are the specific label updates I am proposing in the event that a Spawn comic has a UPC, I will start with Spawn 2, even though you may already be labeling those. Spawn #2-63, 65-100, 106-112, 117-137 - Label: Newsstand Edition There are two different UPC editions for the following books, one with a sticker, and one without - Spawn #64 (only book with the UPC on the back, the sticker version has the barcode on the front) #101-105 - Label for those with a sticker: Sticker UPC Newsstand Edition; Label for those without a sticker: Newsstand Edition This means that the books on the first line should have two different designators on the CGC census (Direct and Newsstand Edition) and the books on the second line should have three different designators on the CGC census (Direct, Newsstand Edition, and Sticker UPC Newsstand Edition) The market needs to see these updates from CGC, it will help establish a true rarity of these books over the years. We, as collectors, know that they are very rare but it isn't being quantified. Please consider updating the early limited series' for Spawn as well, the complete info on which books have Newsstand can be found at the SpawnWorld link below. I also hyperlinked an article from 2015 that goes into more detail about the Newsstand differential and has info from Chuck from Mile High Comics. Lastly, I hyperlinked the Monthly Sales page for August 2004 to show the assessed order of Spawn #137 which supports my statistics above. I'm begging you all as a true fan and collector of these books... do them justice. Sources: SpawnWorld, WordPress Article on Newsstand Editions, Comichron - Spawn 137
