Animation- Grinch Art Day + New Gallery

5 posts in this topic

Friends of mine right here in ole Santa Fe recently opened a gallery

called Pop! They've got all kinds of works devoted to our culture, but

of particular interest to me is the animation art and original

illustration art by Chuck Jones, Seuss, etc.

I 'popped' in today and Sharla dug out of the back a fresh consignment

of a 16 field 'who circle' from the opening of Grinch who Stole Xmas.

Couldn't resist as the price was very fair.

Anyway, if anyone else is interested in this kind of thing their

website is popsantafe.com. Tell em I sent you and they may knock off a

buck or two. Also, their consigment rates seem to be very fair and they

have a long client list as they've been in the biz forever. I couldn't

believe some of the outstanding consignments they had in! I mention

this because sometimes I wonder where to re-sell sketches or animation

pieces, but that seems to be a big part of their business. She was just

wrapping up a deal for two Seuss originals @15k so somebody must want

this stuff! Dan F.

I think 2 to 3k unless you are buying from Chuck Jones gallery then add 1 or 2k. But, I've also saw yesterday some amazing key master set ups with production drawings and concept pieces that matched all framed together for considerably more... hubba, hubba
