Can anyone tell me what all those white lines are and how they happen? They looks like cracks (similar to old ivory cracks)

Looks like the bag got stuck to the cover and took away some of the print when it was taken out...

I don't know but it has the little lines even through the black so there was no print removed there.

1. Empty dust, sand, etc. from pockets on table top.

2. Place comic face down on table.

3. Swoosh it around.

4. Voila! scratched comic . . .

Tough call . . . Structurally, and based on FC alone it appears to be at least an 8.0 maybe an 8.5, but I'd have to deduct at least a full point (if not more) for the surface wear.

 

By no means would I go below a 6.0 because it's still quite a presentable copy.
