Assume that you had 3 different books with this back cover. A 9.0, a 8.0, and a 7.0. Would this affect the grading differently or would they all grade the same? What would the grade/grades be?

Your question doesn't make since because you would never have a 9.0, 8.0 or maybe not even a 7.0 with this back cover.

 

It looks as though these books have been subjected to some severe tape peals.

He means if the front cover looked like a 9.0 , 8.0, and a 7.0. I

 

9.0= 3.0?

 

8.0= 2.5

 

7.0= 2.0

Whatever the front cover, the grade will be the same, somewhere under 3.0, but that's just me...

I would think that back cover would pull the entire grade down to 3.0 You might get more than the grade if the front cover is nice

Here's a book of mine with a huge chunk of back cover missing. That cover graded a 2.0
