GC's EC weekly Story Thread

:boo:

Why the tomato? Lack of discussion?

I enjoyed reading it, as I do every week.

Hard to comment on this one, since the ending was more or less broadcast from the get-go -- it was only a matter of how the writer would stretch the tension. (There would have been an outside chance that they'd turn the tables and the wife would end up stuffed if the husband were even slightly likeable.)

Thanks for posting the stories!

Jack

Hi Jack

lol

You analyse too much...as regards the tomato I mean.

I just like the Graemlin and have never used it before and wanted to bump the thread as I posted it early hours UK time.

You're welcome btw (thumbs u

OK Folks...this weeks its topical...and different.

Firstly I refer you to this thread that has been running in the Water Cooler this week.

That said I am showing an issue in its entirety that was run during the height of UFO mania by EC in 1954.

The whole issue was devoted to the subject, and was the only EC comic book ever published that dealt with non-fictional events of the day as its total subject matter.

From WEIRD SCIENCE-FANTASY 24 published in 1954 by EC.

Judge for yourself & enjoy!

Yes!!!

Finally, an issue that I have.

BTW, when I took mine out of the bag for the first time (in 2006), I found a 1954 newspaper article inside. About "strange flying objects near Williamsport, PA". :o

I thought that was pretty cool!

Tough crowd last week..

I'm afraid the Flying Saucer story crashed & burned (no pun intended).

Tonights story is back to type...and its special!

Stand by (thumbs u

Can't hit a home run everytime. I think it was because they were missing that typical EC "screw-job" at the end. Can't wait for the next one.

Thanks for posting these!
