In general, the average grade is about VF/NM to NM- for the collection but the majority is NM or better. Some are CGC copies. The few pictures will be added here. The right place for selling my books will be in Mixed Ages - from SA to Modern Age. The link will be added at about 730pm. Tonight will be 50 books then other 50 books tomorrow night. This Saturday and Sunday, it will continue up to CA 300. This is Round one. A following week (on next Friday) will start with 50 books then the rest will be on the weekend (hopefully it will be on Saturday). Round two. Bird Posted April 10, 2022 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Time to purge the moderns, I have about 4 short boxes acquired at auction, a ton of comics found in the walmart packs, and months of mcs preorders piling up (and I may be moving in the next month); so I am going to have a sale starting next weekend. This will be almost exclusively comics under $10 and I will list 100 or at sale start and then another batch the following weekend. As tempting as it is I won't include the runs and stuff I have been selling for a while but feel free to contact me if you want 50 copies of The Walking Dead 163!!! ;-) Basically fun modern comics. Batman and Spider-Man comics galore. UFF21, 1st Batgirl Beyond, a few Moon Knight, that type of stuff too. Take care and be well everyone! Loved seeing them. Given it’s been so welcome, I will keep looking for certain items while I hope to find some time to devote to small upgrades to my research — to present here in English as well. I also hope @Sardo Numspar might drop here once again — he’s the one boardie which already purchased some of the Italian material from the past & he also had a very cool american book which I’d liked to purchase that I hope he has kept. My personal stash of Tales To Astonish, I think from about issue 47 and up. I've had most of these books over 40 years, but its getting time to thin stuff out, and let someone else enjoy this stuff. Really tough to let this stuff go, as thumbing through these issues brought back tons of memories, when I just bought books to read. I have a suspicion, that even that sneaky Human Top is going to show up a few times. Some of you know that I have had a long-running Copper/Modern sales thread since July 2020. It contains thousands of comics mainly ranging from the early 1990's (A to Z), with some stuff from the 2000's. There's even a little bit of very recent stuff, although I don't really buy Moderns anymore. This is my personal collection, which I'm selling off mainly as a hobby. Of course, I have a new-found hobby of collecting pre-code bondage and horror slabs...the more I sell in the thread, the more of the GA stuff I can buy. Recently, I finished the thread...sort of. It's massive...over 150 pages!!! It has been a labor of love, but I'm retired so I have plenty of time on my hands. I have cleared about 20% of my collection, not including CGC slabs...which aren't in the thread right now. About 90% of this collection was read by me...new and back issues. I didn't collect the 'fancy' stuff per se...I bought the comics to read them, then kept them. When I first started out, I wasn't really savvy at giving the best grade estimates, and I didn't have the best camera. Since I'm coming up on the two-year 'editing' deadline for Invision, I'm working on relisting the older stuff with better, more conservative grade estimates...with better photos and/or scans. Once I get to a comfortable place in the thread (maybe early/mid 2021 listings), I will probably slow way down on relisting things. At that time, I thought I was saving room in the thread by listing 'lists' of comics with grades, but no photos. I'm remedying that now. The thread will get bigger, but not as quickly as I remove/hide old listings that I replace. At some point, I'm sure the thread will fall off of page one...we'll see how it goes. For now, I'm hoping the expanded work I'm doing will better advertise what I have for sale. Hopefully, I can clear out more of my collection. For a more thorough thread update, look on page 126 (maybe 125) to get a better idea. At present, I'm working on relisting ALL Batman-titled series' and other Batman books/comics. More specifically, I'm relisting the letter 'B' of my collection. I will continue to do this until I've relisted most of my long-listed runs. I will run it for about a month and have all books shipped out by mid July. Mostly Copper/Early Modern with a smidge of late Bronze. Majority all higher grade.
