PARADISE TORONTO COMICON JULY 12-13 2008.

With our relocation to the beautiful Holiday Inn on King you will still have access to over 35,000 square feet of artists and dealers and will now be in the heart of Downtown Toronto (you are 5 minutes from all the trendy bars and restaurants on King) Transit will not be a problem as you are now a 5 minute walk from St Andrew Subway Station and the 504 King Street Car drops you off right in front of the hotel.

With our move to July, you get to see Toronto at its best - warm weather makes for a great road trip for those of you located outside of the Greater Toronto Area.

For our American friends who come up this is one of the cheapest admission prices for a show of this quality you will find during the entire convention season convention season! (It is only a 1 hour flight from Chicago, New York and Pittsburgh. It is 1.5 hour drive from Buffalo, 4 hours from Detroit and 6 hours from Pittsburgh).

Paradise Conventions

are happy and a little scared to welcome

MILLER & MULLET :screwy:

Miller & Mullet are punk clowns gone bad. If you've seen any of their guest appearances on Ed & Red's Night Party, you'll know what we mean. They keep showing up at these conventions, so we figure it's safer to put them behind a table where they can't break anything. Plus they can sell their comic book Miller & Mullet in Space, which is drawn by rising star Kameron Gates (www.kamgates.deviantart.com). Buy many, many copies. But be warned, every time they drop by the store to promote the series, our lunches disappear, so watch your food around them. Miller & Mullet are threatening to release a live-action DVD this year, which may or may not be entitled How to Promote Your Comic Book at Paradise Comics When Peter's Eating Lunch. As you read this blurb, Miller & Mullet are avoiding all hard work on their comic’s latest issue and need more incentive,

so visit http://www.millerandmullet.com.

And Paradise Conventions

welcomes

SHAWN SMITH

What can be said about this reclusive writer besides the fact that he is now sitting on a pile of short stories, a few novels and a ton of poetry.

In the past Shawn has demonstrated his worth by being the writer and ghost writer for many works. In the 90's one of his claims to fame was working on the projects that put the hockey players on the back of Kraft Dinner and Jell-O packaging, before being published in foreign markets including Japan. Shawn wrote for the online magazine Nagoya Life for two years - and it was the owner and Editor In Chief of Nagoya Life, who after reading a rough draft of Regei on a flight to Beijing, convinced Shawn to stop hacking around with jocose articles and put some purpose behind the writing.

Shawn is the writer for Project: Epsilon and Magus Rex and is the co-writer for Velvet Angel with Derrek Lennox

hmm... I must've read it somewhere else.

Nope, you are correct, Dave did cancel a bunch of appearances mainly due to the reaction to his 'tour' of websites to promote Glamourpuss. There was also note on either Val's , Heidi's or Bog@'s site that he had cancelled all appearances to promote the book. I don't think the Paradise show is a 'promotional' show for Dave. But based on his latest meltdown(s) , you have to wonder if he will be making any public appearances at all in the near future.

Question: Is Herb Trimpe still scheduled to come? I had a couple of SS requests for 2 shows that were not fulfilled because he cancelled. Is he still in good health?
