Lordy, the X-Men 99 CGC 9.6 on Heritage is gonna go for at least $300 more, possibly even double, the highest I've ever seen it go for before...this book usually goes for around $400-$500 and it's already over $850!

Are you sure if that is a real bid or if it is on increment below the Reserve (known as the BUMP)?

If the price goes any higher, it definitely a real bid, but if it doesn't, it might only be the reserve. There are always books that the reserve is too high and don't sell. They will offer these as Last Chance offers for the reserve amount after the auction.

Maybe someone should place the next bid & find out! foreheadslap.gif

Those kind of weird things happen on Heritage auctions on a regular basis. And thanks to the auctions being private and the mystery of the bump added to that, no one can tell for sure what is legitimate. Does it say "bidder beware" anywhere in the Heritage catalogs these days?
