I enjoy the Albatross series SO much more than the Avatar. 

Such killer covers and so varied.

Plus, the 1st appearance of Buzzard in a sweet homage.

I picked these up 10-12 years ago for about $30 all told. Back issue bin stored on the floor at that. This LCS always had keys they knew nothing about.

The 3rd issue had a nice surprise on the backing board.

Nice!  Awesome pick up on that #3!  That was a limited edition, 125 copies had an individual sketch’s by Eric Powell on the backing board.

I don’t know if I’ve ever laughed out loud so much reading a series. Goon has such a great blend of humor & violence & action. Some great characters across the board too.

I keep getting outbid on #3. #1 came from an original owner who bought it from a con that Powell was at when it first released. Eric was sitting behind a table by himself and told the guy if he bought it he'd sign it

I love The Goon.  Here are a few favorites from my collection.

The only comic convention I've been to is Wizard World Chicago 2005 because I heard Eric Powell was going to be there.  Talked to him for a bit and he signed my copy of Digital Webbing Presents.

Really need to buy some Goon art for my collection... 

I bid on the psychic seal page back in the day and regretted not winning it

Anyone else have one of these? Independent Universe trading card of Monster Boy, mine came with my Best Cellars. Copyright on the card is 1994, which makes it Powell's first work, predating Best Cellars by a year.

Kinda neat.

No Goon included, but I don't feel this one's off topic. One of the relatively few non-Goon covers Eric Powell has done was this Baltimore Comic-Con exclusive Labyrinth variant. Unsurprisingly, I think he pretty much nailed it.
