organizing a collection (not software)

or shocked and dismayed that i have 10 copies of some non-key issue in a run and zero copies of the next issue...

Very true...I'm about a quarter way though with entering my collection into Comicbase and have realized I have multiples of HG comics in which I thought I only had one...

Having four copies of Detective #413 for example is a little much...

well, i'm pleased that i have multiples of mid-bronze spideys given that I have a vague idea of what i paid for them (got a good deal), and not 10 copies of Defenders 52 or whatever. the pisser is that while some are pretty pristine and i might submit them to CGC, some are really nice copies but have really subtle stuff like NCB indentations that are hard to see through the bag and in the wrong light.

well, i haven't gotten up to 'D" yet, i might have 10 copies of Defenders 52. i'm pretty sure I have 10 copies of Ambush Bug #1 (no, i didn't buy them intentionally, they just came to me in some box of random comics i bought on ebay a long time ago)

detective 413 is a pretty good book too though, 4 copies isn't the worst thing to have.
