For all of you Bat-lovers out there, here's an affordable copy of Detective Comics 39, second appearance of Robin. Also has a full page house ad for Batman 1 and an opium story. Coverless, yes, but VERY nice pages and a clean tight spine.

Can you prove it's Detective 39?

Yes. Clayface's first appearance is Detective 40, and the last panel of the Batman story says "Coming Next Month" with Clayface.

 

Also, this house ad appears in it, which is in Detective Comics 39.

Those Tec's can be even more confusing with the covers as they don't always match the stories found in the issues. Tec 40's cover match the 2nd story found in Batman 1...
