When I saw your under copy in a sales thread, I figured you weren't just busting up the run and there had to be a snazzier copy afoot. Nice copy pal

OO had the frustrating penchant for actually reading his or her copies!  The OO tended to fold the comics reverse with centerfold to the outside, which resulted in some loose covers and missing centerfolds.  This one achieved the rare distinction of missing the outside wrap and centerfold, while still saving its loose cover.

I know it's a bit weird but this may be my favorite golden age not-Schomburg cover and ranks in my top five favorite covers of all time.

Great cover, and I love it as well! I just found a copy a couple of months ago, after looking for four years.

The cover artist is Ken Bald, though, not Schomburg.

Hmm... I guess some of my documentation is wrong, that or my memory.  Sometimes it's hell being almost as old as some of these books.  Thanks for the correction.

Don't feel bad, over the years Schomburg has apparently become the generic name given to most Timely cover illustrators.
