Just a couple of Detectives tonight.

 

First up, Detective #22, first Crimson Avenger cover. CGC 8.5 VF+ Extensive(P). Resto includes reinforced pages and spine, color touch, pieces added.

High grade restored copy of a classic pre-Batman Tec cover. In fact, it's my favorite of them. The book is absolutely beautiful. There are some light scratches on the case that cloud it a bit, so a re-holder would probably make it look a lot better.

Next, Detective #34. 8th appearance of Batman!

 

F+ 6.5 with Slight Professional restoration. Resto is limited to a small piece in the upper right corner of the cover that has been re-placed or re-attached, and re-colored. You can see where the red changes color slightly above "1939". This book is very nice in hand, with lots of cover gloss, off-white pages, and a strong spine. There is a small chip out of the top middle back cover, with the piece still hanging on (see scan).

All-Star Comics #1

An affordable copy of the first issue of this classic series. This copy is in Fair 1.0 condition. It was CGC graded, but has been cracked out. The label is included. The spine is completely split and there are old tape marks from where it was previously held together. It is complete and the pages are cream to off-white.

Another low-grade affordable copy of a Golden Age key, the 1st appearance of Wonder Woman. Fair condition, with the most obvious problem being the large piece out of the lower right corner of the cover. The spine and some of the edges also have tape on them for support. Good Overstreet is $3150.

First appearance of Uncle Sam by Will Eisner! Low grade copy of this July 1940 classic from Quality. Tape on the spine and across a tear on both the front a back covers (the tear does not go through the interior pages).

Another nice Uncle Sam cover National issue. Low grade but complete. Tape on the spine, and a rough edge on the overhang from the first page. Right side of cover may have been trimmed...it's hard to tell, but it looks a little rough.

1st appearance of Blackhawk, by Will Eisner and Cuidera from Aug 1941. Also has art by Jack Cole, Fred Guardineer, and Bob Powell!

 

Low grade copy that looks really nice, but the spine has completely split. Book is complete. This would be a good candidate for restoration.
