I used to tear out cigarette advertisements from magazines and save them, had dozens of them before I realized I was a stupid kid wasting my time...

 

Of course, I was limited by the old if it cost money you ain't collecting it factor, which still pretty much sums it up for me now too

I saw someone on a talk show who collected his own belly button lint. He had jars full. He does a harvest every night.
