I had literally no idea you took the time to pay...note that May 11th was over two months past the date of the invoice. 

Plus you never sent me any messages past the one where you said you weren't going to pay.   I had no idea you decided you were in the wrong and decided to pay up. 

Note you were supposed to pay the animal charity as noted in the probation thread from 3/5/21 that Domo tagged you in.  It was to keep you from having to deal with a "bulldog" like me who clearly posts shipping costs and tries his best to do right by his customers.

All that said, I sincerely apologize for missing your payment.   When I'm not having a sale, I don't check my PayPal account.  I honestly wasn't expecting you to pay...albeit two+ months past the payment due date...so I never looked for it.

I went back and looked and you did pay on 5/11/21.  Had you messaged me or posted in the probation thread that you took care of your debt, I would have recommended that you be removed from the probation list immediately. 

Since I literally just found out today that you fulfilled your obligation, even though it was not paid the way I and the participating concensus agreed to in your probation thread,  I had no idea I was supposed to take you off the list.

I will notify @crassus to remove you from the probation list with this tag.

I will take the $12 and post it to the charity we all agreed upon and post proof of payment to @Red84 's charity, PAWS Chicago, in your probation thread.

Glad you decided to do the right thing...but I don't think I want to deal with you anymore so we will let this be our last transaction together.

if anyone needs to read what all this was over, check Marketplace Probations on 3/5/21.

Please take care of yourself and try not to get so angry with any other sellers you may deal with here.

Just as a heads up.  There was an issue that came up concerning abandonment of obligations in the holiday raffle and gift exchange.  I was tagged to do a write up and shrugged and said sure.  That will be posted by the end of the evening as I am putting the information together.

I have a few pages to read.

Was there a marketplace violation?

This sounds like the same situation as the ‘junk donkey’ complainers.

Too bad, but what did you expect and how is this a marketplace violation?

the lists warn/protect boardies from other boardies despite where transactions take place. they can be on ebay, fb or other places and still end up on the lists here if both parties are board members

It's a violation of trust. These rules were not passed by a legislature, they just took someone off the list last year at the request of another boarder because the person on the list had passed away. That's not in the rules, either.

It would seem to be a common sense addition, but of course that all depends on the votes.

I know you don't sell much and I don't know if you buy a lot, but wouldn't you like a heads up that the person potentially selling you something might just disappear with your funds?

I expected the person to act like an honorable adult and fulfill his/her obligations...and no, I'm not that naive. Most people do what I expect here...and those who don't, shouldn't be allowed to trick someone else.

Actually I ‘sold’ my collection here on consignment for about $200k, but that does not entitle me to anything. I just want to make it clear I am ‘invested’ in the community.

Appreciate the discussion of course, but again - the ‘junk donkey’s’ were told to take a hike and the ‘PIF’ thread went poof

Partaking in contests and holiday gift exchanges contains certain risks. Better to discuss the future of such threads than to entertain grievances from an area that takes place outside the marketplace

I get it and I never got involved in the pay it forward thread other than to see complaints...but I spent a few years on committees that spent countless hours proposing legislation. By the time some of the proposals were finished, no one could remember the reason they started;) (kind of;) ...so I always view these forums as something not quite as structured.

In other words, hopefully something can be decided before the next Secret Santa or Raffle thread...and you SHOULD join in...for the most part they are a lot of fun
