hockey&comicsguy
Yeah, that SC22 that went for $1100 was mine. I bought it off ebay from another board member. I'm not sure who the buyer was but it was a great deal for them. Not so much for me. I was just really surprised by the final price. I didn't figure to make a big profit or even any profit at all as I had just gotten it not long before the Feb CLink auction. I just hoped to use the proceeds to go after a better copy. My math be off but after a 45% loss, I couldn't even take a run at the copy I wanted in the Heritage auction. Oh well. Sorry, but I believe that I am the new owner of the book. yep, I would have been if not for you Where was your last minute bid pal?

Seriously, no reason for you to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong, just scored a good deal. I would've hoped for the same if I was on the buying end. showcase22gr1959
Well...looks like these bids helped the price stay above 1K. I say Kimik takes hockey&comicsguy for dinner if he nearly doubles in this investment.

Man, that $30-35k est seems awfully high...I mean, you wouldn't be pumping up the FMVs, would you? I'm working on a price list again soon. The SC22 8.5 Mound copy was sold during a soft market. Since it's been pressed, I value it between $20000-25000. If I were to sell my SC22 8.5 (strongest of the 8.5), I would sell it between $25000-30000...but market can change up or down. The price list on 10/9/09 is for crm/ow PQ only. Nevertheless, 8.5 should now have a FMV between $25000-30000. (thumbs u
