Flash105
Pretty strong results considering the number of 9.4s that have come to light in the last 8 months.
Mark 1
There are only 7 blue label in 9.4. Doesn't seem like a lot to me. How many were before the last 8 months?
dem1138
CGC just graded a 9.6! Wonder if this is an upgrade or a new copy? Also wonder if we'll see this auctioned off sometime soon...

etanick
CGC just graded a 9.6! Wonder if this is an upgrade or a new copy? Also wonder if we'll see this auctioned off sometime soon... yup, saw it in the main forum and it is simply gorgeous....I don't think it is a press and resub based on the data. The number of 9.2 and 9.4 didn't change in the last 3 months. If it is indeed a fresh newly discovered book, where has it been hiding all these years. The number of 9.2 and 9.4 didn't change in the last 3 months. If it is indeed a fresh newly discovered book, where has it been hiding all these years. Question is how would CGC be able to tell if it's a resub if the submitter doesn't tell them it's been cracked open? Also the better question is what is the estimated value of this copy given that 9.4's have been getting a steady 100k? etanick
Sorry if I am missing something, but do we know who owns it? based on the Cert#, I think this was sub by a dealer and if I am right about that, any dealers that cracked, pressed and resub would be foolish to do so without returning the old label because "bloating" the census only hurts the ultimate selling price. Nonetheless, only the person that submitted that book knows the truth. I wouldn't be surprise to see the book in an auction in the near future. As far as price, I wouldn't have a clue since the last 9.6 that exchanged hands and recorded by GPA was back in 2005...long time ago, way before all the 9.4 get >$100k this past 8 months. etanick
the micro chamber paper inside the cover reflects(I don't know the right terminonoly) the inside cover art to give that impression and with certain scanner settings, it makes the cover looks "thin" I have a couple of examples of books where I scan it with and without the micro chamber paper....to duplicate that effect for my own understanding
pickycollector
Indeed, the micro chamber paper inside the cover increase the "transparency" of the cover, which personally I don't like. That is another reason why I crack my CGC books: after you remove the paper, that transparancy effect disappears or, at least, reduces greatly
