It does,but it could be the scanner.

It's not my scanner, which does accurately reflect colors.

 

In my opinion, my cover is not faded, but probably from a different part of the print run. Notice that some colors, such as the red on Robin, are the same on both.

Some shades are more likely to vary throughout the run.
