I wonder who won the HOS 83. hm

Or the HOM 190. Lone 9.6 copy - not surprised it went for decent coin.

Deep pockets on those.

There are 2 9.6s on the census, not 1. Nice price.

Tell me about it. :o

Has anyone seen the other 9.6...scan and/or PQ?

My bad, Clink stated in the auction blurb that there was only one in this grade. Either way, I did wonder whether you bought it.

I was surprised at how high the PLOD trimmed JLA #1s went for.

You & me both, brother.

That can't be good news for higher grade unrestored copies.

Guess I need to save a lil more...

You beat me by $3 dollars on the JIM 120. :frustrated:

I won the 119.

JIM seem to always be hot as they are not so plentiful in highish grade. I am still looking for the last 8 issues I need to finish off my JIM set in 8.0+

Let me take a guess which 8 your missing, 83, 84, 85, 90, 93, 94, 95 and 96? Am I close?

Nope I have all of those. I need 87, 105, 106, 107, 109, 114, 120 and Annual 1 in 8.0 or better.

The ones I listed are the tough ones, you wont have any trouble with those. That's amazing that you found a 8.0 or better 84, 85 and 94. Those books are TOUGH!

It's possible that the census was updated between the time the listing was written and the auction finished. I know CGC updates their census every couple of weeks.

David bought my #84 8.0 a few years ago.

Very strong prices on the TOS 57s, looks like the 7.5 is going to double GPA. Congrats Mike! Anyone else astounded by the Thor 126 9.0 RM? That's getting close to tripling GPA on that book. :o

That's insane :screwy:

I'm glad I picked up the same book in grade with white pages from Roy a few months ago

:frustrated: Sad. Definitely sad. :frustrated:

For the second month in a row, I've managed to win only the cheapest book I bid on. I'd rather lose all of them than have to pay $35 shipping for one $60 book...

I was sure I had the 9.2 MTU #1 sewn up with a bid of ~$50 over GPA, but somebody wanted it bad enough to pay even more. Second highest sale price according to their records...

Agree, wanted that old label 9.2 MTU #1...thought it was an no-brainer resub for a 9.4, but was not willing to shell out what it went for in the end. However, did pick-up a nice 9.6 WP MTU #5 for about 30% below GPA :cloud9:

87 is a little difficult to find and for some reason I find the annual to be a bit of a challenge. The others come up from time to time and I'll eventually get them just I am holding the line on price for those issues pretty tight.

I did pay too much for Roy's 84 at the time (I think about $2,100 in 8.0) although it has sold for more (and less) since. I really paid up for 89 as well.

I would imagine you paid mightily for the 85 as well. That book is just as expensive as the 84 in low to mid-grade and is actually key. (1st Loki)

Actually I got a pretty good deal from Mbhighlander on the 85 so I didn't have too pay too much for it. Really just the 84 and 89 did I pay a pretty penny. The rest I was a bit patient on and eventually I acquired them for reasonable prices.

The MTU was mine. If it gets an upgrade from a press, I'll be completely shocked.
