That is a nice looking book! If you're comfortable with what you paid for the book, it doesn't matter.

Rocky Mountain Marvels continue to go for astronomical prices. The Thors seemed to all set GPA records.

I was happy with my results. Won 5 of the 10 items I went for. Wasn't home for the end of the auctions and wish I had increased the bids on a couple but I was still happy and am looking forward to them showing up.

 

I am annoyed that I am still waiting for my 1 February win to show up.

Rocky Mountain Marvels continue to go for astronomical prices. The Thors seemed to all set GPA all-time highs.

 

I bid very aggressively on the Thor 171 (one of my favorite covers ever) and watched it go for 4 times GPA. Rocky Mountains are obviously still on fire, whilst the other 9.4/9.6 offerings on the Link, which were also very nice indeed, were hovering around FMV as usual....

The 7.5 plod price seems very reasonable to me, especially compared to GPA (both plod and blue). So I wouldn't expect this sale to have much of an effect on unrestored 8.0 and higher copies. (At least I hope it won't -- I'm starting the search for an 8.0-8.5. Please tell me that you're in the 9.0+ zone. I don't want you for my competition. )

 

Likewise, I did expect the JLA 5 (9.0) to go for more than it did. I was the underbidder and was hoping to get a very good deal. Anybody here win that?

Somebody stole the weird western 12 9.6 at the end of the auction. Which was a 100 under the last sale... in 2007... the last 9.2 sold for 220. That 9.6 sold for 340.
