I love it when a 9.8 is more important and noteworthy than a fuglisaurus miswrap.

See I'm not that anal. I see a book that is over 30 years old and looks like it just came off the racks. A classic Adams cover at that. Have people become so hateful that they have the need to talk down to someone who appropriates something that was well taken care of.

If you want me to talk down to you, i'll be happy to do so. Everyone on the Boards appropriates a little humor now and then.

If you are going to post a thread about an "Amazing book" with the heading "Wow," please make it WOW-worthy. If the book is miswrapped, I will feel free to place the importance on the miswrap that I believe is appropriate. You may continue to slobber over the 9.8 in the left corner. lather, rinse, repeat.

Well I feel its a wow worthy book. If you didn't like it why say anything? Are you that miserable with you life that you have the need to act this way? Ask yourself that.

Yes, my misery and hatefulness have consumed my soul. Like Conan on the Wheel of Woe, I may do nothing other than project my hatefulness and misery upon well-intentioned (and not-Comic Supply) posters such as yourself. I will endeavor to do better in the future and vow that I will only post things like "Sick book!" "Sweet," and "If I only had the money I'd buy it" whenever anyone posts a miswrapped POS that has a 9.8 on it.

Thank you 8milemax for helping me come to my senses. God bless you and the noble work you are doing.

What does Comic Supply have to do with this book? What are you trying to say? My point is why say anything about the book at all? If you didn't like it don't say anything.

With all due respect, you can't start a thread, on a board with thousands of members and then try to micro-manage who replies and what they say.

We are all like snow-flakes, special and unique. That goes for our opinions on miswraps, Saturday morning cartoons, breakfast tacos, and how "thick" we like our wimmens.

Unless this is your book, I don't understand why it would bug you that you like the book and Sean doesn't. If you only wanted people who agree with you to post then I suggest you PM with friends. When you post openly on these boards you are inviting commentary, response, and sometimes disagreement.

Is that a new board rule around here?

Only post if you're on the Kool-Aid?

If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say it?

If you think differently from me, you should shut your yap, 'cause you live in misery?

Sorry, didn't get the memo... :sorry:

What does Comic Supply have to do with this book? Nothing.

What are you trying to say? The book is ugly. I don't like uneven miswraps.

My point is why say anything about the book at all? I decided to speak out for the contingent of folks who believe what the book actually looks like is actually important.

If you didn't like it don't say anything. No. I am often referred to as the "Songbird of My Generation" and I refuse to withhold my voice from the masses.

Cool cover but I could spend 6k on something a lot cooler than that. This is where this super high grade stuff doesn't interest me..when I can pick up a really nice copy of this book for what I believe it's worth as opposed to crazy multiples over guide.

I don't mind the miswrap...I think it's a great book so I wasn't trying to say that it wasn't.

I agree,I rather pay $6,000 on a AF #15 or a X-Men #1 than pay $6,000 on a CGC 9.8 with a mis-wrap on the book.

yea the only "wow" for me is the price. its a bronze age book - lets not crazy now.

and 6g's is the asking price. only a lunatic would pay that :)

I rarely get emotional about stuff on the internet, but this really

made me pause and reflect. :foryou:

You could always buy it and get Neal Adams to do a sketch on that big blank white part up the spine, then you'd have a sweet Sig Series book. :baiting:

I don't mind a miswrap but it's the sigs I can't stand. The manufacturer can deface it but to make it unclean by humans on purpose I can't abide.

That's actually a pretty funny slice of reality right there. I have to say that I agree.
