You could always buy it and get Neal Adams to do a sketch on that big blank white part up the spine, then you'd have a sweet Sig Series book. :baiting:

I don't mind a miswrap but it's the sigs I can't stand. The manufacturer can deface it but to make it unclean by humans on purpose I can't abide.

So you would not want to own any book signed? I mean if it's signed by the people involved why would that be a bad thing?

the worst thing about this thread is the inevitable - 100% likely that is - profusion of "parody" threads that will come about because of it.

this forum's been overrun with yahoos who think they're funny, and woe betide the rest of us who know better

I love it when a 9.8 is more important and noteworthy than a fuglisaurus miswrap.

See I'm not that anal. I see a book that is over 30 years old and looks like it just came off the racks. A classic Adams cover at that. Have people become so hateful that they have the need to talk down to someone who appropriates something that was well taken care of.

If you want me to talk down to you, i'll be happy to do so. Everyone on the Boards appropriates a little humor now and then.

If you are going to post a thread about an "Amazing book" with the heading "Wow," please make it WOW-worthy. If the book is miswrapped, I will feel free to place the importance on the miswrap that I believe is appropriate. You may continue to slobber over the 9.8 in the left corner. lather, rinse, repeat.

Well I feel its a wow worthy book. If you didn't like it why say anything? Are you that miserable with you life that you have the need to act this way? Ask yourself that.

If "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all" were the order of the day here, this board would be a saccharine-coated hell... and would also very quickly turn into a ghost town.

Signed by the people involved, I understand how people would like it. I do have one signed book but that is because I could not find another one in that grade, otherwise. If you like, enjoy I really don't cotton to signings by people only tangentially involved (I won't go into details). I do have some OA by some of the artist involved and I quite enjoy them though. Maybe I am a hypocrite?!?

I think there are 2 possible answers to the question Are you funny?

Your answer and then everyone else's. I leave it up to you to guess.

What does Comic Supply have to do with this book? Nothing. Then why bring him up Because I knew it would wind you up and my hatefulness and misery forced me to do it.

:whee:
