Heroes Con Photo Thread...Bolland's booth and more.

60 posts in this topic

So I was at Heroes Con all weekend, helping out my friend Brian Bolland by managing his table and keeping order as best I could. This thread has most of the pics I shot that weekend. Most are of Brian and the sketches he completed along with some additional pics of the happenings at the conventions and some of the items I won at the auction.

Here's the first....Brian in the middle of a Deja Thoris piece to be rendered entirely in pencil.

There was no shortage of willing models this weekend.

Sometimes the life of an artist can be just so damn hard.

Brian's contribution to the Art Auction.

He only had an hour's notice so he made the very best of it that he could.

One of my pickups from the Art Auction... either 20x30 or 24x36...going right up in the kids playroom. Art by Chris Giarusso of Mini-Marvels fame.

Brian needed to "warm up" his hands on Sunday. No better way to warm up than with a classic.

Brian would switch it up from time to time and go with fully rendered pencils over inks...they looked great.

Here's a Joker in that style.
