How do you tell the reprint fromt the original if they are exact copies?

 

The majority of the reprints have 3 staples, the originals had 2. The front covers had a square in the upper right corner on the originals... on the reprints it is a rectangle.

It's weird but I have a copy with 3 staples and a square, definitely not a rectangle in the upper right corner.....
