kinzebac
How long after Tec 36 was Tec 38 and Bats 1 ?? How long before was Tec 27 ?? (yes I could google but whats the fun in asking someone who knows off the top of their head) Tec 36 was February 1940 Tec 38 was April 1940 Bats 1 was April 25th 1940 (there is an advertisement in Tec 39) Tec 27 was April 1939 I think I am correct on these, but somebody should google to make sure. lemonman5
I'm kind of tempted on the 29 as well. I would imagine that one going for maybe 10k. Looks like a nice affordable copy
Primetime
The plod 1.8 Tec 29 was one of my former copies. Here's a bad scan of it seven years ago when it was a 1.5 slight back then and had a trimmed CF. Not sure how the CF is now "untrimmed" as a 1.8 plod. I believe it's quite possible that CGC simply missed the trimming on the CF the second time around and that there was nothing nefarious done by the submittor of the book. I bought the book raw from Jamie Graham at SDCC 2009 and submitted the book myself at that show. The CF was trimmed (crookedly) with scissors and it came back accordingly on the notes. Perhaps the last/current owner cracked it out and submitted it without the label and got lucky they missed it.
rsouxlja7
HA listed a 1.8 Tec 37 slightly brittle for its October signature auction. Wondering how much this could fetch as well as the other items previously listed.

lhcomics
5.5 Bat 1 just got added to Heritage too! No dot #1 too. I think this is the first no dot #1 I've ever seen at auction. Looks sweet for a 5.5 Batman No 1 not No .
rsouxlja7
I have around 10K (could go a little bit higher) to spend on one book. What are my options in this price range for a Detective 38 or a pre-Robin with a Batman cover? I prefer restored books so I am looking for grade ranges and on which issues. Also, there's a blue label 1.5 Tec 33 coming up for auction. Is that a book that is obtainable in the 10K range?

A CBCS Restored 7.5 Mod copy sold earlier this year for 15K and and a CGC Restored 6.0 Ext sold last year for 14K. There are actually 2 1.5s coming up for auction. A 1.5 Tec #33 was barely obtainable (if at all) for $10K two years ago. I know because I passed on one for more and regretted it. Damn you, buyer of the Tec #33! Silver Surfer
Metro had that nice high grade copy but with a cleaned cover. I think it was priced at $17k forever but that would be a steal given today's prices.

Gotham Kid
Looks like Metro just listed a Tec 31 5.0 and a Tec 33 8.0 Metro Tec 31 5.0 copy has a BIN of 110K. The 33 8.0 has a BIN of 150K. Do you have a link for these 2 books? It looks like my Search skills on the internet leaves a lot to be desired. Scan for the 31 is up. http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=684745
