The first issue this impressionable 13 year old bought off the newsstand.  Liked it enough to get a subscription, starting with ish 117 and continuing until I went away to college.  Still have them all, although the back cover puzzles (Jaffe genius) are all folded and there's plenty of general wear.

I was hooked by the great art and the content.  This ish had as the tv show parody 'Star Blecch', drawn by Mort Drucker.

I am a fan of MAD but not a collector, nice thread.

Would any one know what issue, a one page gag appeared that parodied those: "Want to be an artist? Draw this and send back for a professional evaluation" comic ads. The one page gag was a compilation of the horse drawings that were done by MAD stable of artists (about dozen of the greats).

For some reason I never picked up this first More Trash annual.  I fixed that this week and just got this copy in the mail.  The bonus is attached too...so...ebay is still good for something...

I went to a moving sale this morning which advertised comics and there was a large stack of Mad, Cracked, and I presume other humor mags.  I looked through the top part and they seemed like mostly 80's books in varying condition.  The guy asked me if I knew anyone who collected Mad's, and I told him about this site.  If anyone seems like they might be interested, I'd be happy to run over there tomorrow and get pictures or a list or something.  Send me a PM.

Years ago I was able to pick up a large lot of the magazines from the 1958-'63 era.  They've got cream to off-white pages and some have thin tanning lines around the inside cover edges, but they're otherwise in terrific condition.  Here's a few with Kelly Freas cover art:
