Deduction for a missing coupon

2 posts in this topic

There's a nice All Star 6 listed which has a coupon missing from the back of the book. The book is listed as Fine and the start price is around 1/3 of guide, ie: the good price.

So is this a good deal? Overstreet mentions coupons missing in their description of Fair books and under Good mentions that small pieces can be missing from the inside. I have no idea if the clip affects the story (a) or if the otherwise Fine grade is accurate (b), but let's assume a) it doesn't and b) it is.

Unless you're planning to sell it later, I wouldn't worry about its "official" grade. I'm always on the lookout for hidden defects, which allow me to get otherwise great looking comics for cheap. I look at it this way, where else can you get a nice looking copy of All-Star 6 so cheaply? Would you rather spend that much on a comic with the coupon intact, but graded Good due to creases and tears?
