Someone got a good deal on the Cap 111 in 9.6 for $307.

 

Yeah, they sure did. :frustrated:

 

I'll assume that means it was your book...condolences! Not a good period to be a seller, better time to be a buyer.

Flash 129 9.4 750.00 oh how I overpaid for this book three years ago when there were only two

Flash 130 9.0 475.00 GPA record

Flash 135 9.2 575.00 GPA record

Flash 136 9.6 1321.00 another big decline from 2008. Plenty of supply

Flash 147 9.8 2900.00 GPA record wow nice price on that one.

 

So some deals and some records.

When I sold the Western Penn copy back at the end of the 2006, I think it was the first 9.4 certified copy that had been publicly put up for sale. Ever since, it seems like between Heritage and Comiclink there's a 9.4 or 9.6 copy in every auction.

I thought it did just fine. It's normally a $30K+ book (or thereabouts) and this one had c/ow pages and a date stamp which may turn a few bidders off.

I was the underbidder on it and no I do not think that it is low. There have been two other Hulk 1 CGC 8.0 that I know of that have sold in the last 6 months or so and both went for exactly 31,000 and they did not have cream to off-white pages and had slightly better eye appeal IMHO. On all three I was the under bidder.

 

In fact buying keys had been tough this auction for me as I was the under bidder on the ASM 1, the Hulk 1 and Dec 33 (would have been my first golden age slab - but I made it up by buying 3 other Golden/Atom age slabs). :frustrated:
