Pretty sure those are Issac's books. He is a documentarian that is currently working on a Turtles documentary. As I recall, Peter gifted him those books during the production (assuming these are those books; but they sure look like them. I'll confirm next time we speak).

I was thinking that, but he said that his copies had no documentation? hm

Look at the date on those documents. They were made very recently.

Looks like you were right!

$6273 for the #1 (with BP)

$2390 for #2

= $8600

Quite the drop from the last sale...but still very nice numbers. Especially for someone who got them as a gift.

I know this thread is kind of old but interesting stuff here. Anyone know if this artwork (ha.com, lot 92082) is original or is is a copy transfered to vellum paper? I can't tell from the description if it is truly the original. Seems like a high price if this really is just a copy.

Also, anyone know the history of this book (Lot 91122)? It seems to be the most "reasonably" priced of all of them...maybe flew under the radar a bit. I may make an offer for this book...

It's the original art.

Most likely because it did not seem to come with any sort of documentation. Because of the photocopied nature of the books, people tend to shy away from copies that don't have any kind of written documentation from Mirage staff.

Anyone here buy this counterfeit GG 2? Pretty cool. I never saw it for sale before. I was going to go up to $50, but it went way over that

How much did it go for? (I'm at work and ebay is blocked).

Thanks. I would have thrown an aggressive bid in had I saw the auction beforehand but unlikely that high. I am still on the hunt for an issue 1 counterfeit if anyone has one they want to move.
