Popular Post Rick2you2
Before going into the hospital next week for some surgery, I decided to get a commission from Romeo Tanghal, a long time DC artist. His work, always well respected, may be one of the best bargains on the internet. This piece was $650 plus shipping for an 11 x 17 in full color. You can find him on Facebook, by the way, along with this piece and others he has done. I can't wait to get the original. alxjhnsn
I know that all of you have been waiting to see the latest adventures of Sugar and Spike. I know that I have. Until DC produces the comic book again, I'm filling in by creating faux covers for the next issue - number 100! In this installment, the kids have been transported to Earth-Groo. A world similar in some respects to Medieval Europe, but loaded with strange creatures and mass destruction mostly caused by Groo. They landed right in the middle of Groo story that spanned two issues of Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer from Epic Comics, Marvel imprint. In those issues, the Fountain of Youth is found and destroyed. Unusually for a Groo story, he didn't cause the destruction directly. Our kids certainly landed in a mess. Take a look: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1860865 For those that don't know, Sergio is a long time contributor to Mad Magazine. The first thing I did when I got an issue was to review his "marginals," the little cartoons in the margins of the pages. Be sure to check out what else is going on in Sergio's Facebook page, Aragones Cartoons! RBerman, Caltex98, cgcsketcherz and 1 other

Popular Post Phill the Governor
First thrill bid win and first Fables art, by Craig Hamilton. Fables Family Christmas with Bigby, Snow White and family! Judging by the content I'm guessing it was drawn in 2007, referencing the "07" on the sweater. Just the sort of thing I'd imagine would be inked and colored for a holiday card, but I've never seen it published. Still cool, especially for just over $100 Edited November 24, 2022 by Phill the Governor Unstoppablejayd, BCarter27, PixelPusher and 2 others
