Metropolis COO, Vincent Zurzolo will be heading out to the San Francisco Wonder Con this Thursday, April 29th through May 2nd. He will not be setting up but will be buying and bringing out books for collectors. If you have comics to sell please call him this week at 800-229-6387 to set up an appointment. Likewise if there are books you are interested in buying call today and the books will be pulled and brought out to the Convention. AVON PUBLICATIONS

 

Go to the CGC Comic Market Place to view a selection of comic books from Avon Publications being offered by Metropolis. Avon Publications published a host of titles ranging from Westerns to Crime but were most famous for their horror comics. Unfortunately, in 1955, along with many other publishers they went out of business due to the Comics Code and Dr. Frederick Wertham’s book, Seduction of the Innocent. Interesting to hear that the CBG glossy monthly will be able at chain bookstores also. The more circulation the better for advertisers.
