50YrsCollctngCmcs
Any way Tom was not his given name but a family nickname? That might throw the search off. My Grandfather went by Bill his whole life but that was not his legal name. Sorry I am correcting that, really was a question not a statement. 50YrsCollctngCmcs
I picked up an Adventure from Jon Verzyl last year that he thought may be a San Francisco book but lacked authentication. Anyway, a Tom Reilly book or not; it is absolutely stunning and has now got me jonesing to upgrade to this level of book going forward. cheetah
There is a chance that when more WWII draft cards are made available on-line, we may be able to match up signatures.

EJR
Straw-man, thanks for heads-up on the WF 10 Reilly copy! Too bad its only an 8.5! It was shocking how little some of the Spokane WFs brought during Comicconnnect's last auction and they were 9.6 copies! EJR
cheetah
I took a quick look for Tom Reilly in the 1940 census and found one in San Francisco that would be the right age for the comics. I also backtracked and found him in the 1930 census, too. I'm not sure how any of the story matches the census, though. [/img]

This period in the Adventure run is so awesome. 2 S+K stories in each issue, Kirby covers, plus Hourman by Bailey, and Starman. I'm always amazed that they sell relatively cheaply to a lot of inferior GA

Timely
So, I first learned about this books existence in 1994-1995. I lost out on it back then but saw the book raw when it was graded a few years back. It's one of the freshest, whitest books I've ever seen! The colors are amazing and the black ink is flawless. I'm glad to finally add it to the collection.
