I got mine yesterday,as well.I've never won an item from them. In fact,last year I bids on an item,then saw it in the year end sale they ran,called up to buy it and was told it had been pulled(again). They certainly put out a nice book,though.

Their most beautiful catalog yet and I have a feeling it's only a start. It is

fantastic news that Steve Geppi bought Hake's. Ted is an amazingly nice

and honest person and I've had very positive experiences buying and selling

through him. A couple of years ago, I sent him some leftovers and bad buys

just to try them out and I ended up with a check for almost $5,000 - twice of

what I could have hoped for on eBay. With new funding and more freedom

their service is going to get even better and more competitive - look forward

to see how they are going to develop. Of all the auction houses, I'd - all things

even - prefer to consign my stuff to Ted just because he is such a genuinely

likeable guy.
