Comic Book Men Tonite!!!

I agree with some that said it was pretty much unwatchable for me, but my sons were watching it (later) and I noticed roaring with laughter a good amount of the time. I think you need to be a Jay and Silent Bob insider to appreciate much of the humor.

I am ... and I don't. Just a sad play on past fame.

Bryan Johnson is more of a biker than a hippie. On the last Tell Em Steve Dave podcast, they had Dave Wyndorf as a guest. He's the lead singer of Monster Magnet and once worked in a Jersey comic shop. Anyway, he mentioned that Comic Book Men was getting lots of hate from the Internet. Bryan responded that it was coming from a bunch of "elitist d-bags". He has stated multiple times that he doesn't care much about comics and quit working at Kevin's store in California because he couldn't stand dealing with customers.

The podcast is great and the TV show is funny if you know the back story. That said, the show is also awkward and badly staged.
