Betty or Veronica???

21 posts in this topic

Good article. They've only been fighting over Archie since March/April 1944 (not 1941), with Archie #7 and the first "love triangle" story. Veronica didn't even arrive until May of 1942 with Pep #26. Whoops...sorry...you know, had there been an article on Wolverine starting in Hulk #189 I'm sure you guys would've said something...

/archie geek off... sorry.gif

Nothing wrong with being an Archie geek sumo.gif

Ah, Mr. 143ksk. Whenever I read any of your posts anywhere on here, I see your name and think "Oh, what's Mr. Pep 25 CGC VF+ saying now"?

By the way, let me know if you have any duplicates to sell! Top dollar given here!

This is what caught my eye:

"Archie Comics ships more than 800,000 comics each month"

Yikes!!!

I know! That is a lot of Archie comics!

I guess there is a young fan base for comics. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Archie comics are still easy to find in grocery stores & Wal-Mart around here...

so, are those 800,000 comics shipped to "news stands" each month,

and are a significant portion shipped back as unsold?

When I first read the question I thought it was directed at men. In that context it's the usual quandry, as I think most of us would prefer to marry Betty and -- well -- you know.
