Just wondering what events would make most people's lists for big-time recurring comic book events/cons/whatever.

5-10 tied (any are a crapshoot from year to year)

I havent been to either the Canadian National (customs in that communist country is too much for me) nor Baltimore so can comment on those

I can't reach ten yet...I hear Wizardworld LA and Pittsburgh Comic-Con, were good.

 

Looking at the killer guest list that just keeps growing for the upcoming September Baltimore Comic-Con...I get the feeling that show will easily slide into the three spot on my list...

I'll group them by type:

 

1) San Diego - in a class of it's own.

 

2) Wizard Worlds... in order Chicago, Philly, LA, Dallas

 

Honorary Wizard con: Megacon

 

3) Solid local shows... in order... Pittsburgh, Motor City, The National

 

Of course, I had to exclude my own con from the list, the Toronto Comicon.

 

Never been to Las Vegas (not that it matters anymore), Wondercon, Mid-Ohio, Baltimore or Heroes Con, so I can't tell ya where I'd slot them in on my list.

 

My least favorite con (and of course I'm biased) is the Canadian National Comic Book Expo. I only went to help Peter out at his booth (back when he was "allowed" to do it) and I always loathed the experience. Not much interest in seeing their efforts in Montreal and I hear similarly awful things about when they were doing the Boston con.
