PGM TALES TO ASTONISH #27

i have a tales to astonish #27 im considering doing some restoration work on. the cover is relatively ok, pages are slightly brittle, and the spine is split about 2/3 and detached from the top staple.

I was going to say 1.5 at best because of the spine split.

so no consensus. My thought was if its 2.0, id CGC it and be happy, if below 2.0 then id have the spine repaired.

There is no way anyone can grade this book from those photos . . .

well, not with that attitude.

its ok, i just want a general idea, and i get the feeling id be lucky if this got a 1.8

Yea, photos are a lil tough to grade from. If you have no scanner, make sure it's well lit. Photos of the enitre book (FC and BC) help to see the book as a whole and will get a better idea of the grade.

 

I was gonna say 2.0-2.5 before split. With split 1.5-1.8

just an update - sent it to CGC and it came back a 1.8, so great input.

looks good in the slab, very nice cover appeal for a nice silver age key.
