gyro-1
Red Sonja 1 pence apparent I don't know if this is a scam or just my bad luck but this fellow ( http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Red-Sonja-1-NM-1977-Robert-E-Howard-Pence-Variant-Combine-shipping-30-/310719851942?pt=UK_Books_Comics_Magazines_US_Comics_ET&hash=item485858ada6 ) sent me a book with a crease on the back that CFP comics pressed out . But color touch up is a real disappointment ! Wizard you want to trade for your Red Sonja 7 ? http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=17133&GSub=419 Edited August 28, 2013 by gyro-
wizardseye311
I already have a #1, and I don't really collect Pence covers. I don't understand why someone would do a CT on a lower grade Red Sonja (Or any late bronze age book for that matter). It's not like you can't find a nicer un-restored copy in the same grade any day of the week. I guess since it's a Pence they're a little harder to find, but still, anything below a 9.6, and the value wouldn't change that much one way or the other. I mean an 8.5 isn't worth that much more than a 4.5. So what's the point of a CT? I actually have two raw #1's, and one of them came from England. It's a U.S. cover though. Seller said it was NM, but I'd say it was more like a 7.5. Here's scans of my raw #1's, and along with my 9.8 I'd say I am pretty well set for Red Sonja #1. wizardseye311
Published in 2000? Boy, they were late to the party. Maybe you could get Nei Ruffino to color it for you.

wizardseye311
This beautiful #23 sold. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CONAN-THE-BARBARIAN-23-CGC-9-8-WHITE-pages-Barry-Windsor-Smith-1st-Red-Sonja-/141050744008?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item20d7478cc8&nma=true&si=a1AqB1FMNU9ziTHB4jYY6WRFwoM%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Those #24's are nice too, but I'm thinking it will stay around the $525.00 range that they usually go for. Your book was in NY last time I checked. Post a pic when you get it.

Brian48
I've got a really nice (approx 7.0) raw copy of both Conan 23 and 24 w/white pages that I picked a couple of months ago for $3 a pop. Conan 24 has been a particular favorite of mine sine I first read it in Marvel Treasury 4 or one of those other mag size books that Marvel used to publish in the '70s. Really surprised that after all these years, Conan, and by default, Red Sonja books have never gotten much attention. Just woke up this morning to find out that I won this auction over at Heritage. It was right at my limit which I was using as a tracker bid. http://comics.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=121333&lotNo=10168 Just got this in today to complete the set of bookends with the above Conan #24. Thought it was really cheap as well. Cheaper than the Conan #24 surprisingly. What I really like about it is that most hi-grade copies I've seen have a lot of white mis-wrap on the front cover. This one is not too bad at all.
