Planning has begun for Florida Supercon 2013 following our very successful 2012 event. With over 15,000 unique individual bodies at the show this past July, Florida Supercon is now the second largest event of its kind in Florida and one of the fastest growing conventions in the country!

 

We had a phenomenal line up of guests this past year, and we're looking to have an even more impressive line up in 2013. Here's the initial list of creators, which (as anyone familiar with the show knows) will grow by leaps and bounds as the show grows closer. We have several contracts pending, and will be making some big announcements in the next few weeks and months!

To accomodate the huge growth the show has experienced, we will be taking over several additional parking facilities in the area as well as expanding the show into the Doubletree Hotel attached to the convention center. The Doubletree has an additional 27,000 square feet of ballroom and meeting space to add to the existing 175,000 square feet of convention space. Moving several events into the hotel will allow for additional vendor booths and guest artist spaces.

 

Next year's event will again be a 4 day, holiday weekend show, starting on Thursday July 4th and running until Sunday night, July 7th. Registration will open on Wednesday night for early arrivals.

 

Hotel rooms are now available at the host hotel, The Doubletree at the Miami Airport Convention Center for $109 per night (Single or Double). Rooms are limited, and will sell out! They sell out faster and faster each year, so don't procrastinate. The first overflow hotel is the SpringHill Suites by Marriott (Miami Airport South): The SpringHill is located directly across the street from Doubletree and Convention Center at 6700 Nw 7th St, Miami, FL, 33126. Rooms are currently available for $105 per night (Single or Double). All rooms at the SpringHill are suites and come with a sofa bed, free breakfast, free wi-fi, mini fridge, microwave and free parking. Plus, they have a shuttle that will take you to the convention center if you don't wish to walk. The second overflow hotel is The Hampton Inn and Suites down the street. Reservation information will be posted shortly, but rooms will start at $99 per night, ans the Hampton will provide complimentary shuttle service to the convention center.

 

We will also be announcing several additional overflow hotels as we get closer to the event, as all three of these hotels will sell out well before showtime.
