Okay so I actually got two boxes from Shin, and he had joked several times that he was going to send me a brick...

And turns out he wasn't kidding!

First box (actually second one received) was a brick of comics!

Included tons of number one issues and some books from all across the ages, my favorites from the brick includes the ASM books as well as the Nova 1 (because I hoard these) and the Marvel Teamup 141.

The second box (actually first one opened) included all kinds of great swag including some Sig Series slabs. Among my favorite items in this box were the magnets, the Lost In Space robot, the Gandalf Christmas ornament, and the Batman Maquette. So very very cool!

And here's a picture of that sweet Batman statue with box open (I'm thinking this is going to find its' way to my desk.)

So let me just say about Greggy's box...be ready to do some heavy lifting if you should ever win one of these. Definitely not something for a chicken liver cream puff to go trying to lug around that's for sure!

Once I figured out I won this box I shoot Greggy a PM to let him know my shipping address and his response is "What the Hell do you collect anyway?" lol So I sent him back a vague response with a few series/eras etc and no matter what he'll lead you to believe he did take a good time of effort into putting this together to cater to my collecting preferences. It really was a lot of fun opening.

So there were I think eight (maybe six, but I'm pretty sure it was eight) bundles bubble wrapped and taped shut inside this box. One of them I could see through the bubble wrap and there was a very familiar image on it.

So once I unwrapped it I thought "Man what could this be???" Needless to say I was pretty excited when I opened it, but I'll get back to that in a minute.

One thing I was a little surprised to see, but surprised in a good way were a collection of these Conan books. I've never once considered collecting these, but now that I've got a good start on a run I may just in fact do it. Really cool artwork on the covers!

So then there were comics! I told greggy in that PM that I was highly interested in Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel Team Up, bronze age Marvel horror and any Marvel that had a 20 cent cover. Something about the covers in that era that just really really appeal to me. There was also a set of Batman pins from 1989 that I think I'm going to give to my five year old son one day when he's being extra good, he loves loves loves Batman! So here's some additional pictures of the comics included. Including five copies of Avengers 200. I was starting to wonder just how many there were going to be lol when I got to the fifth copy.

From what I can tell, I haven't gone through and graded everything, but none of these are low grade beat up copies by any stretch. All came nicely bagged and boarded. I don't know about the rest of you but I rarely ever see 20 cent Daredevil comics in a LCS unless it's just mangled, so again very nice surprise by the assortment of books and the over all high quality. So thanks greggy!

Oh yeah...almost forgot to say what was in the bag! doh!

Well take a look!

Still shrink wrapped hardcover Walking Dead Compendium One. I believe if I'm not mistaken it's the SDCC variant with the Gold label. I don't know whether to open it or to keep it sealed up! It is my favorite item from the box for sure, but everything in there was super awesome!

So thanks again greggy!

Those were his VCC booth books. :gossip:

:applause:

Can't compete with that... (worship)

To send a box like that, I'm going to need dinner and a movie first... :preach:

It's just lucky for the rest that the Raffle Winner didn't choose both comicdonna's book and greggy's mystery box.
