Marvel Ultimates Gets Cover Upgrade

Money talks. Sales have obviously dipped on the Ultimate titles with the crappy new paper covers as collectors can't find any undamaged copies.

Marvel has therefore been forced into this decision. Good news.

Yea, it is good news. It was a good experiment on Marvel's part, though; those glossy covers did look nice, it just turned out hard to keep them looking that way.

I'm glad they seen the light. If it was up to whoever in charge, the books would of been printed on toilet paper. They really don't care about the fans/readers/collectors. They only look at the $$$$$$$. As soon as they saw the dollors were not coming in, they were forced to change to a better paper.

 

Hooray for us comic folk. Sometimes they have to listen to the little man.

Hmmm. I wasn't aware comics publishing was a philanthropic enterprise. In fact, I was labouring under the impression publishers were in it for the money. My psychosis goes further-- I've actually imagined a whole economic system based upon only looking at the $$$$$. In my delusional state I called this "capitalism."

I liked them at first too, but I'm glad they're changing them. Too flimsy.
