Recil Macon pedigree - Phantom Lady #16

6 posts in this topic

Funny: I was going to make a thread about this auction. Not because of that books "ugliness", but because I thought it was a pedigree and seller didn't mention it at all! (wasn't sure so I was going to ask it here)

It seems that Recil Macon was a young kid and that's why he wrote his name and all the other stuff on his books?

You can read about the collection here (this article frequently

comes up on these pages).

I've got a few Recil Macon's from around 1941 - nice books

although they have sub creases. Anyone know if all his

books from this time were subscription copies?

Once sold an RM on eBay (also with sub crease) - went for

double guide.

Btw, that Hawkeye pedigree collection..has anyone seen any books from it? I've been to the store of the guy that purchased the collection..nice store. Crappy selection of back issues though. If anyone's interested in seeing if he has some of these Hawkeye books left his website is at www.dustcatchers.com
