Collectors Society Boards: the condensed version

For those who are new to the CGC Boards and don't know where to start, here's everything you need to know:

 

  • Ebay is full of scammers and a-holes.
  • Noobs have trouble using the Search function.
  • When in doubt, start a "What if…?" thread.
  • Never use UPS to ship to Canada.
  • CGC turnaround times are slow.
  • Pressing? Don't go there.
  • No one knows what scanner is best for slabs.
  • OA is really expensive.
  • Some comic artists aren't particularly reliable.
  • The boards are at their most entertaining at 3 AM on Friday night / Saturday morning.
  • The boards are at their most pathetic at 3 AM on Friday night / Saturday morning.

Anyone else have anything to add?

Make sure you dot your i's and cross your t's,use proper capitalization, and know the difference between their,there and they`re as the grammar Nazis will be out in full force to thread cap.

Also a few board members are know to have a few alcoholic drinks when they post which is always a delightful trip. ;)
