I'll play only because I feel it's at least a 9.4. I don't see much wrong with it.

Don't know why it would grade a VF+ - I can't see anything wrong with it. I'll go NM+ 9.6.

The only thing I can see wrong with it is it is off center and the front cover wraps around the back on the top.

I see:

 

1)-Corner and edge wear on the top left corner

2)-Possibly 3 spine breaks

3)-Impact dent bottom left corner.

4)-Overall "brownish" color along edges

 

Kind of hard to tell with the size of the scan. We need the HUGE ones!

That explains the grade a little better. Still, the spine doesnt look THAT bad. There must be some other defects on the book that bring it to VF-

The VF- grade stills seems a mystery to me so I will be calling CGC for graders notes tomorrow....I would have thought VF+ ,at least, going by what I see on this end....

I agree....but sometimes those hidden flaws kill a book that otherwise looks better than what they grade.

Gotta say it seems a mystery to me too. I brought it into a pic editor and darkened it (cause of the white cover). Yeah, a bit more spine ding came through but nothing like a VF-. Really confused on this one.
