B-Smooth
FYI: There are 2 RAW BA#12's for sale in the Copper Sales thread on the boards. One is a stated 9.6/9.8 candidate for $500! http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7133530#Post7133530 Unlikely, with that URC. And the book I started the thread with on page 1.... It was a 9.8, and someone "took it off my hands" for $275. BD-Punisher
A new CGC 9.8 SS just hit eBay with auction starting price at $1000 and BIN of $1300. (Note: this is not my comic. Just reporting.) Will be interesting to see if these new 9.8's get snapped up and in what timeframe. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-Adventures-12-CGC-9-8-signed-by-Bruce-Timm-and-Paul-Dini-/291007170534?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item43c16107e6

Just how hard is it to get books autographed by both of them at the same time? It doesn't take much, especially when getting books signed, to get a book's grade lowered.
The Less Blob
...because it hasn't happened with New Mutants #98? Peace Chip Thing is, NM 98 took 2-5 years to turn into the monster it is now. Out of curiousity, is there GPA data for BA 12 in 9.8 from 2010 let's say? I feel like there was some mumbling about it even back then, but maybe more like as a $10 book. I sold a B.A. 12 here on the boards 4 years ago, that was a 9.2, for $25. It's been about 5 years or so since it started breaking out. It's just taken until recently for it to completely explode. He was a guest of honor at SD this year, and Bruce Timm was there as well. There were a lot of double signed BA12s cranked out at SD this year. There are other ones that have the guys that worked on the book itself, but I feel (as evidenced by the fact that I did mine this way) that the Dini/Timm versions are the coolest. The Less Blob
sometimes it's hard to know what 9.8 data means though. there seem to be a fair number of one and two dollar box books out there that sell for $75-$150 in 9.8 because of scarcity in grade, etc. "low" sales of $68 and $91 barely make this blip as a book of real interest other than we're talking about a relatively recent book with a decent print-run. i don't even think BA 12 is broken out as HQ's first app until last year's OPG. it's not in 2010-11 I keep handy in the office.
