That book would have come out in late 1946, with a cover date of January 1947. The next all horror comic I believe was Adventures Into The Unknown, dated Fall, 1948, almost two years later. After that, EC's Tales From The Crypt, Oct-Nov 1950, again about two years later. So it took awhile for the genre to develop.
